Overseas and manages beef processing facility in a safe and profitable manner.
•Responsible for daily safe operations and daily management of live cattle barn, harvest, boning room, quality, sanitation and maintenance departments.
•Ensures that employees work safely and adhere to safety policies and the product is manufactured in safely following all food safety protocols.
•Liaison with USDA personnel and other government agencies to ensure regulation compliance and problem solve any discrepancies.
•Satisfactorily meet facility budget by ensuring yields and labor efficiencies are acceptable.
•Responsible for continuing process improvement and strategic planning.
•Ability to successfully coach, develop and train employees in leadership positions.
•Must be able to meet product specifications and order deadlines.
•Coordinates and oversees large maintenance projects for plant.
•Great organizational and time management skills.
•Problem solver and self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
Preferred experience as a Plant or Operations Manager in a food manufacturing environment. HACCP trained, BRC audit experience, understanding of USDA policies and OSHA regulations, computer skills and ability to understand and interpret spreadsheets that include make sheets, yields and profitability.
