As part of this growth, we are searching for a new member to join our team as an Director of Processing Operations at our Lumber Bridge, NC complex. The primary purpose of the Director of Processing Operations will be the responsibility of managing the operating activities of the various functional departments within processing operations. This position will oversee all aspects of operations within the assigned processing plant, including catching/hauling, slaughtering and processing, shipping, and maintenance and engineering. Indirectly oversees Quality Assurance, Safety, Waste Water, and Purchasing.
Advising in the hiring, development, and training of personnel - to appropriately staff the team and help everyone reach their full potential
Short-term strategic planning that maximizes product mix, product return and competitive performance
Build and maintain internal / external relationships.
Attend meetings with peers, USDA, and upper management
Daily Inspection of areas of the plant
Projects – develop and implement capital improvements
Submit reports and information for the Executive Committee
Reviews and analyzes reports, records, and directives, and confers with managers to obtain data required for planning activities, such as new commitments, status of work in progress, and problems encountered
Assign, or delegate, responsibility for specified work or functional activities and disseminate policy to managers
Give work directions, resolve problems, prepare schedules, and set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
Coordinate activities of department with related activities of other departments to ensure efficiency and economy
Monitor and analyze costs - prepare budgets
Prepare reports and records on department activities for management
Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives to develop and implement improved procedures and practices
Maintain a smooth flow of work between departments and resolve interdepartmental conflicts
Assure the company stays on schedule with regards to production, and meets or exceeds the goals set by the President, CEO, or Executive Board
Bachelor Degree in related field is preferred
Minimum of 10 years of direct related experience in a comparable role with proven success
Minimum of 10 years experience exclusively within the Poultry industry
Proven experience working with Agristats - ability to comprehend and interpret
Strong organizational and management skills
Excellent planning and communication skills

Extensive Industry (poultry) experience, as well as Food Engineering skills
