Get in on the ground floor of an exciting new beef harvest and processing facility located in the Flint Hills of Kansas. This state-of-the-art facility is looking to hire a highly motivated individual to lead all production, food safety, and personnel operations.
The Plant Manager position will be responsible for planning, leading, guiding, directing, and managing the new plant with the direction of stakeholders and owner, while upholding all USDA rules and regulation. This position will be heavily involved in hiring team members from the ground up, along with leading the production of high-quality products. They will also help manage profitability of the business, the safety of employees, budget planning, human resource management, and the further development of the plant team. This role will be given the freedom to track and adjust yields, maintain personnel, and learn on-the-job as the facility grows.
Preferred Skills/ Abilities and Knowledge
Beef harvest and fabrication experience
Experience leading/ managing a team
Operational procedure and yield analysis understanding
USDA FSIS and HACCP, and OSHA knowledge

Assist with the planning and building execution of the facility.
Coordinate all employee positions, both hourly and salary, by assembling their own team.
Assist with food safety and regulatory compliance. Ensure all employees are aware of and understand HACCP, SSOP’s, and CCP’s.
Provide training, learning opportunities, and further development to employees.
Manage employee and facility safety by identifying and correcting hazards and weak spots
Maintain product safety and quality through building a culture of excellence
Increase productivity over time and enhance yields as the company grows
Manage operation layout, budgeting, and costing of raw materials and finished goods
Assist in creating metrics and goals for the above tasks and lead the team in achieving these.
Real KS Meats is a new beef harvest and further-processing facility located in Fredonia, KS. This exciting new endeavor is starting from the ground up and is looking to build a strong team around a brand new mid-sized facility.
