Required:
Bachelors required, Master’s Degree preferred in Animal Science (Meat Science preferred), Agriculture or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with 18 graduate hours in Animal Science/Meat/Food Science/General Agriculture; candidates pursuing the Master’s Degree may be considered with the understanding the degree must be completed expeditiously.
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Understands the basics of meat harvesting, fabrication and processing
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will serve as a faculty member in the Agriculture Division with primary teaching responsibility in Meat Science with other agriculture courses as assigned.
Serve as the Academic Advisor to Meat Science and other agriculture majors
Serve as an advisor for various clubs, judging teams, etc., as needed
Actively recruiting prospective students to the program and institution
Develop and instruct courses with appropriate technology
Promote Agriculture Division and college with youth and adult outreach activities
Serve as a cohesive and collegial member of the Agriculture Faculty/Staff
Assist with management activities related to the Meat Lab
Continue in the pursuit of professional development for meat processing, harvesting and fabrication
Work with students in career development placing students with internships and careers, or transferability
Work with the meat/food industry related to career networking and career readiness
Other faculty duties as assigned
